Bright Blue Eyes

As I look into her bright blue eyes all I see is sadness

She’s fading away into the shadows

Locking up her heart so she can no longer get hurt

She is who she is and I accept her for that

Why cant you

This is her life so let her live

You’re not the one who helps wipe away the tears

You’re the one who adds the loops to her emotional rollercoaster

Building it higher and higher lust to watch her fall hard and fast

It pains me to see her like this

I know her pain just won’t let go

I’m scared that ill look and she’ll be gone

Leaving only a letter addressed ‘To whom it may concern…’

Knowing that when she put her pen to paper

Tears rolled down her face and red blood ran through her veins

I can see her reaching out for help

But why am I the only one

Her heat has been torn too many times to be repaired

And the worst have been ripped by those whom she holds close

I say that everything will be alright

But I also know that it may not be true

My arms are wide open and I’m crying inside

As I feel I must be strong for the girl with sad bright blue eyes
